The ability of companies to access an efficient local rail mode is an essential condition for their competitiveness.

It is a key element of the attractiveness of territories, ports and employment areas, finally it is a decisive driving factor towards sustainable development practices.

True railway SMEs, the OFPs aim to provide local solutions to territorial or port railway needs.

• Transport services for companies
• pool flows and create single or multi-customer or multi-lot convoys, within a territory or a port.
• Ensuring the traction of complete trains over relevant distances,

and or

• Sservices as an infrastructure management service provider (PGI) on behalf of SNCF Réseau (low-traffic freight line) or a port authority by performing:
• infrastructure maintenance
• possibly security management and traffic management

The members of Objectif OFP, representing the economic circles concerned and the competent institutions, have decided to come together in order to contribute to the creation in the territories and ports of Local Rail Operators, as there are in other countries where they drain up to 25% of the tonnage transported.
