After the publication on May 27, 2019 of the Safety and Interoperability decree in accordance with the 4th railway package, the new version of the "Local tracks" decree was published on June 16, 2019

The new S&I and VFL decrees are very important, because they concretize in the field of infrastructures the consequences of the 4 th railway package; now, the regulatory regime of a track does not depend on its owner, but on its nature. SNCF Réseau thus manages more than 2,000 km of local tracks!
In addition, since 01/04/2019, the provisions of the VFL decree are applicable to all approaches to ITEs, without distinction of their constitution or the risks they present. Objective OFP and all the professional associations concerned have asked DGITM to adapt the regulations to risk assessment
